Just off the coast of South Carolina, a massive great white shark with a length of over 13 feet and a weight of 1,500 pounds has been monitored.
Oceanarch, a company that does oceanographic studies, monitored the Breton shark on August 2, which was lurking about 60 miles off the coast of Myrtle Beach.
The tagged great white ak “ping” on the tracker when their dorsal fins near the water’s surface, allowing ocearch to learn more about the species and its habits.
Breton had spent June and July off the Florida coast before this “ping.”
